Rest assured your health and well being is paramount and we have put into place many measures to provide you with that all important peace of mind. You will find social distancing signs throughout the Hotel which we request you to observe at all times. We have reduced the number of tables in our Restaurant and garden in order to provide thoughtful social distancing measures and have developed a QR code to allow for a swift check in and for food and drink orders to be taken as well. We will also be offering a “knock and drop” service should Hotel guests prefer to dine in their bedrooms.
A thermal imaging camera has been installed and we will be recording guests temperatures, anybody registering over 38 degrees centigrade will understandably not be permitted to remain at the hotel. We would therefore advise that you take your temperature before leaving home to avoid disappointment upon arrival.
Rest assured we have in place rigorous cleaning programmes across the Hotel and bedrooms will be “sealed” once housekeeping have thoroughly cleansed the room. Staff training is key and our team are committed to ensuring the well being of all our guests as well as protecting each other.
Please ensure before you leave home that you are not travelling from a very high risk, tier three area. The Government advice states “people should avoid staying overnight in another part of the UK if they are a resident in a “very high” area”. If this applies, please call us to cancel your reservation and we will look to welcoming you on another occasion in the future.

We are delighted that The Ship is once again open and that the team are back working together and looking after our guests. It has been so lovely to welcome back some old faces but also to meet new guests, all looking to enjoy our great hospitality whilst exploring the idyllic North Norfolk coast.
Our new ordering portal provides our guests with peace of mind by being able to not only order their food and drink via our Portal but also to settle their bill, this has helped us to maintain social distancing and to provide our guests with an efficient service and illuminate the use of cash.
With the announcement of the Government to support the hospitality industry by reducing VAT to 5%, we have decided to join the world of inclusive service with staff receiving 10% of all food and soft drink sales. As a living wage employer this will go one step further to support and grow our fantastic team.
Our brand new Beach Hut Bar has arrived and is currently in the process of being installed into our pretty garden. This will allow us to offer an outdoor bar service this summer and we will have a Grand Opening very soon!
The garden will also be receiving a makeover and then all we will need is to have another warm summer like last year. Fingers crossed
