The popularity of stand up paddleboarding has exploded in recent years, and we are delighted to offer our guests paddleboards to get out on the water.
Complete with buoyancy aids and waterproof phone pouches, our paddleboards come fully equipped for some paddling action.
Norfolk Coast Paddleboarding Safety
A couple of simple safety tips for paddleboarding:
- Wear a buoyancy aid
- A buoyancy aid will not just help keep you afloat if you fall in, but will also help give you time to recover before climbing back aboard. The Ship Hotel provide guests who are using one of our paddleboards with a buoyancy aid as standard.
- Carry a phone in waterproof pouch
As well as being able to take photos of your paddle you can also use your mobile phone in an emergency to raise the alarm. Make sure you charge your phone fully before you go, and carry the phone on you in one of the waterproof phone pouches we provide with your paddleboard.
An emergency contact sheet comes as standard.
